Coalgrove Reservoir and Cupola Chimney
The Duke of Devonshire's lead mines on Grassington Moor flourished for some 250 years to the late 19th century. A flue 600 yards long was built in 1792 to carry away the fumes from the smelt mill to Cupola Chimney. Coalgrove Reservoir provided water to drive the mill and the winding mechanism.
